ABOUT THE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF REFLEXOLOGY AND MERIDIAN THERAPY (ISRMT)
The
International School of Reflexology and Meridian Therapy is
dedicated to creating greater awareness and use of Therapeutic
Reflexology, and to providing an international structure for achieving
this objective.
ISRMT
provides professional training and development in the field of
Therapeutic Reflexology in order to equip the qualifying learner with
competent skills as a health professional abiding by an exemplary
ethical and professional code of conduct.
Schools
licensed by ISRMT offer a consistent and closely-managed curriculum,
using tried and tested Outcomes Based Education
methods (also referred to as
Competency Based Education), that has been
registered with the South African Department of Education as Private
Higher Education, Level 5. This
means that you have the security of a program that is of an extremely
high standard, has been approved at government level, and shows the way
for other national standards worldwide.
In
its training program ISRMT emphasises data gathering and
recording in
case history documentation in order to
increase knowledge and encourage
awareness of the need for research in the field of Therapeutic
Reflexology.
ISRMT
strives to promote Therapeutic Reflexology as a health-promoting and
preventative therapy available to as many persons as possible, so that
people of all ages and backgrounds can benefit from this cost-effective
therapy. In doing so ISRMT can assist in improving the health of people
in all parts of the world.
THE
LICENCING PROGRAM IN BRIEF
ISRMT can provide a licence to set up and run a School providing
training in Therapeutic Reflexology, with the assistance and guidance of appointed
agents in some countries.
ISRMT licensees receive a
full set of training
material, including both teacher’s material and guidelines on how to
teach Outcomes Based Education.
This material meets and exceeds the standards
required for accreditation of the course with the
Reflexology Associations and/orSocieties throughout the world. 
Full training in delivering the course
materials is also given.
Schools have access to a range of books,
charts and other products produced by ISRMT for resale to
learners,
including
Licensees also benefit from the support of the
ISRMT organization worldwide, including
certification and
continuing updates to course materials.
In return, licensees support ISRMT with a
licence fee in the form of a
percentage of the net fees paid by
learners
on the course.
WHAT
DOES HAVING AN ISRMT LICENCE MEAN?
Accredited schools know that producing and
updating course materials and training aids is one of the most
time-consuming tasks there is. For ISRMT licensees, however, all
materials and aids are provided and updated centrally.
This reduces the
workload involved in running a school enormously.
The licence provides the opportunity to
present an education program that is accredited as
Higher Education.
This ensures that learners can enjoy the security of a program that is
of the highest standard and that is recognized
internationally.
ISRMT training produces top quality
Therapeutic Reflexologists, who once qualified have enough knowledge,
practical experience and confidence to begin working in
the specialized field of Reflexology
immediately.
The licence gives the opportunity to
contribute to and enhance standards in the growing field of alternative
healthcare.
If you are a qualified therapist interested in
giving training, you will know very well the obstacles you face. You can
overcome them with help from ISRMT, and be given the chance to own

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLYING FOR AN ISRMT LICENCE
Requirements
differ from country to country, and are mostly determined by the local
Reflexology Society, Association or equivalent governing body. Your proposed course venue and your own qualifications
must meet the standards of your local Association or Society. Head
Office or its appointed Agent will be able to assist you with any
queries in this regard.
WHAT CAN YOU NOT DO WITH AN ISRMT LICENCE?
Resell or
subcontract your licence.
Produce your own training material, or make
unauthorised changes to any training material, books or charts supplied
by ISRMT.
Reproduce or make
use of
TRAINING
AND SUPPORT FOR LICENCEES
Marketing
ISRMT licensees are provided with material for
advertisements, press releases and other marketing aids which you can
use locally. Consistent use of the brand identity is essential – you
will be supplied with logos, artwork, and specific formats for use.
Marketing brochures can be purchased at cost
price.
General
Assistance
Any
information or ongoing assistance that is required in the organization
and running of the program can be obtained in the first instance from the Agent, who if need be can refer queries to ISRMT
Head Office
in South Africa.
Where no Agent is present, these can be obtained directly from Head
Office.
Training
Licensees
are provided with full and clear guidelines on use of the training
materials, and training sessions in their use are also provided.
